Current Research

These are some of the research projects I am working on:

The Universal Love Project
Universal love is unconditional love for all of existence and it has yet to be studied scientifically. This research aims to test the effectiveness of a mind-body practice to cultivate universal love. The physiological correlates of universal love and its benefits to health and immune function are also being investigated. This project is a collaboration between the University of New York at Prague (Dr. Butzer) and the University of Arizona (Drs. Beauregard & Schwartz).

Kripalu Impact Research Study
Together with the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and Harvard Medical School, I am investigating the impact of Kripalu’s yoga-based RISE program on psychological health and health behaviors in frontline professionals. http://www.kripalu.org/rise

Large Scale Reiki Study
Together with the Center for Reiki Research, I am investigating the effectiveness of Reiki energy medicine on a variety of outcome variables, including stress, depression, anxiety, and pain. http://www.reikiresearch.org

Subjective Effects of Salvia Divinorum
The study consists of completing online questionnaires related to one’s experience with taking salvia.
